I like credit cards. Or should I say, I like what having a credit card allows me to do. I can book a holiday without having to make sure there’s enough money in my bank account. Or treat my family to extra presents at Christmas.

No matter where you look, there is always a credit card company that is offering reward programs with their credit cards. New ones pop up all the time, making it sound too good to turn down. Even though they may sound great, you may wonder if the rewards are truly worth it. In some cases they are, although in others they may not be quite as good as you would like.

A week back I got a SMS from the bank in which I am holding the credit card. In the SMS, it was told that my credit limit has been revised from 52,000 to 1 lakh rupees. I thought that they might have revised it because of my good credit history and even felt a little proud of it.
